For the garden: Mix MYKE® TOMATO FOOD 5-6-8 to the first 10 cm (4 in) of soil. Place the plant in the hole, cover with soil and water to moisten thoroughly.

In containers: Mix MYKE® TOMATO FOOD 5-6-8 to the growing mix before transplanting.

4 to 5 weeks after the first application, reapply MYKE® TOMATO FOOD 5-6-8. Add to the soil under the foliage cover, at 5 cm (2 in) from the stem at the rate of 85 ml (1/3 cup) per plant in the garden or 30 ml (2 tbsp) every 3 weeks for plant containers. Mix superficially to the soil 2.5 cm (1 in) deep. Water to moisten thoroughly. Avoid applying fertilizer during intense heat periods.

Clean all surfaces that may receive excess fertilizer such as sidewalks, paths and alleys and all areas where there are no plants or soil.
