Decorative Halloween Twig Wreath

October has arrived, and that means Halloween is not too far around the corner. Why not add your personal touch to that special, eerie ambiance by making your very own decoration! Here is how to create a nice Halloween twig wreath in a few simple steps.

First, you'll need to gather the following material:

  • two old metal wires (or two metal coat hangers)
  • twigs (you'll need several, but longer ones can easily be cut in two or three)
  • cutting pliers
  • faux spider webbing and plastic spiders (optional)

Once you have all you need, start by making a circle with one of the metal wires. Then, make a few bunches of twigs, about 6 or 7 inches in length. Tie each bunch with a piece of the leftover metal wire (you'll need the cutting pliers to do that). If necessary, add one or two twigs here and there to achieve the desired shape.

You can now start attaching each small bunch of twigs to the circle, one at a time, until it's full. Here again, use a piece of the leftover metal wire. When you're done and satisfied, simply hang your masterpiece anywhere you want, and wait for the compliments to roll in! It can be hung indoors or outdoors, as you like.

Note: If you want to give your wreath a gloomier look, you can easily add faux spider webbing and as many plastic spiders as you want.

Have fun!
