DIY – Ribbon Christmas tree

Those Christmas trees are easy to assemble and require little material. Ask your kids to help out, they'll love it! An original way to decorate your Christmas tree or window sill, and a great gift for friends or family!

What you will need:

  1. Lead pencil or a twig
  2. Ribbons
  3. Burlap
  4. Wet foam brick for flowers
  5. Flax string
  6. Scissors
  7. Pot*
  8. Potting soil

Assembly:

"Step 1: Cut ribbon pieces about 12 inches in length."

"Step 2: Tie each piece of ribbon around the pencil. Make sure to leave at least 4-5 inches on each side, when the time comes to cut your decoration."

"Step 3: Cut the ribbons diagonally on each side, so as to imitate the branches of a fir tree."

"Step 4: Fill the pot with something that will keep both the tree and the pot in place. For instance, you could use a wet foam brick for flowers and cover it with potting soil."

"Step 5: Wrap the pot using a piece of burlap, and fix it with flax string."

"Step 6: Plant your Christmas tree and you're done!"

*Note: An interesting alternative: instead of planting your Christmas tree in a pot, wrap flax string around its top and hang it up!
