Growing your own herbs is a breeze!

Growing your own herbs indoor or outdoor is easy

Growing your own herbs is easier than you think. You can grow them almost anywhere, whether it's in the garden or in containers, indoors or outdoors. To spice up a dish , keep them close at hand! Here are a few tips that will make your project easier.

Choose the right soil

The most important element is to choose an appropriate soil. Nothing could be easier: use an organic vegetable & herb mix. The best organic soils contain a fertilizer that will feed your herbs for three months, and they are enriched with compost.

The importance of drainage in containers

Such soils are also ready to use, which means you don't need to amend them with other components. Choose a container that has drainage holes and fill it with soil. Then, simply plant your herbs and water! If you plant your herbs in the garden, just amend the planting spot with the organic vegetable & herb mix.

Sunlight and watering

Most herbs need between 6 and 8 hours of light per day. To check if they need water, poke your finger at a depth of 2 or 3 cm (1 inch) into the soil. If it feels dry, it's time to water!

Herbs that are easy to grow

Finally, herbs even black-thumbed gardeners can grow include chives, parsley, basil, mint, rosemary and coriander. Growing your own herbs is easier than ever!
